Results showed reducing stress or anxiety as the number one mental goal for women in the coming months.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Losing weight (43%), improving sleep quality (40%) and developing better eating habits (36%) were the most common health goals for women, followed closely by increasing physical strength (29%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A survey, conducted by Talker Research on behalf of Burn Boot Camp found 43% of women have never lifted weights at the gym. The average woman surveyed felt the biggest barrier to not hitting health and wellness goals was overcoming a lack of motivation (43%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, nearly a quarter (22%) said a lack of confidence was a prominent barrier to achieving health and fitness goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But what do women feel can support them in their pursuit of physical and mental fitness? Support from friends and family topped the list as the biggest influence (28%), while having a workout buddy or fitness community (23%) ranked among the top three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That sense of community resonates with respondents and 59% either already belong to a fitness community or would consider joining one to help achieve their health goals if it was the right fit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:46px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSeeing women embrace strength training and push themselves to new physical limits is truly inspiring, added Missy Franklin, Olympic Gold Medalist, Hall of Fame Swimmer and Burn Boot Camp Brand Ambassador. \u201cAs an athlete, gold medalist, I know firsthand how setting those goals and becoming stronger doesn&#8217;t just change you\u2014it changes everyone around you. It empowers not only the individual but also their families, too, creating a ripple effect of confidence, strength, and resilience.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>WOMEN\u2019S TOP HEALTH GOALS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lose weight (43%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Better sleep quality (40%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve eating habits (36%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase physical strength (29%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve flexibility or mobility (28%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve mental health (27%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve energy levels (27%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prioritize self-care and stress management (22%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be consistent with nutritional supplements (9%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Try new types of workouts like free weights, yoga and pilates (8%)<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WOMEN\u2019S TOP MENTAL GOALS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reducing stress or anxiety (64%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developing a positive mindset (45%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase mental focus (34%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Push through negative self-talk (34%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practice meditation (28%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practicing self-compassion (27%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improving work-life balance (20%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seeking professional mental health support like therapy and counseling (14%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Survey methodology:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Talker Research surveyed 2,000 American women;<\/strong>&nbsp;the survey was commissioned by&nbsp;<strong>Burn Boot Camp<\/strong>&nbsp;and administered and conducted online by Talker Research between&nbsp;<strong>Feb. 19-24, 2025.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>We are sourcing from a non-probability frame and the two main sources we use are:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Traditional online access panels \u2014 where respondents opt-in to take part in online market research for an incentive<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Programmatic \u2014 where respondents are online and are given the option to take part in a survey to receive a virtual incentive usually related to the online activity they are engaging in<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Those who did not fit the specified sample were terminated from the survey. As the survey is fielded, dynamic online sampling is used, adjusting targeting to achieve the quotas specified as part of the sampling plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Regardless of which sources a respondent came from, they were directed to an Online Survey, where the survey was conducted in English; a link to the questionnaire can be shared upon request. Respondents were awarded points for completing the survey. These points have a small cash-equivalent monetary value.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Cells are only reported on for analysis if they have a minimum of 80 respondents, and statistical significance is calculated at the 95% level. Data is not weighted, but quotas and other parameters are put in place to reach the desired sample.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Interviews are excluded from the final analysis if they failed quality-checking measures.
